Waiting for the Christmas (Mutalan koulu Finland)



The first and the second class teachers invited their pupil`s parents to handicrafts evening in the end of November. The idea was to make a handmade Advent Calendar. Almost every parents arrived. Parents made a present for their child. Then they packed it an d wrote a little note. The evening was a succes!




Teachers made a couple of models. Some of the parents used the models and some of them used their own ideas.




We offered some glögi and gingerbreads.

The first snow in Finland

Last friday, on the 6th of November, we got snow. It was -1 degree Celsius.Everybody was happy and they made snowballs.

Jesse and Kaspar are waiting that skating rink will be ready, only ice is missing.
On saturday morning...Do you know what is under the snow?
But unfortunately the weather forecast says that tomorrow here will be +1 degree Celsius and snow will melt.

Mutalan koulu, Finland

WINTER IS COMING

Mutalan koulu has got many smart girls in class 5 and 6. Winter is coming and girls decided to make mittens. Girls from class 5 knitted mittens with two sticks and 6th class girls knitted with five sticks. The woollen thread has beautiful colours.

Auli and Sanni say: Our mittens are ready. Lets go outside!

Horses

In Mutalan koulu we have made cock-horses at the wood work lesson.
Here is Sofia and Vilja. They are from 4th grade.
Ten children were at this group: Sofia, Suvi, Milla, Salla, Ida, Linda, Lotta, Vilja, Roni and Lauri. The teacher was Ari.

September in Mutalan koulu Finland

Yesterday the third class went to the nearest forest.
The weather was quite warm and the sun was shining.


We found different kinds of mushrooms and beautiful leaves.

In the classroom we put mushrooms and leaves on the papers
and we named them.

Finland, Mutalan koulu, Sewing machine

In Mutalan koulu we start to use sewing machines at 3th grade. During this spring, 4th grade pupils sewed themselfs beautiful summerbags. Everybody had dark blue material. They made even decoration, button. You can see a skull button with heart eyes.




Bags are ready! Kai and Jenna-Julia are happy.

Cleaning day! (Mutalan koulu, Finland)

We had a cleaning day around our school yard. Every pupil in our school took part it. Smaller children picked up the rubbish near the school and the older pupil went farther off the street and their bus stop.
