Springfield Primary News, UK

We are classes RA and DM and we are both year 2. There are 44 children in our classes and we are all 6 or 7 years old. We are looking forward to making friends in schools in other countries and finding out if they play the same games in the playground as us. We want to know if all partner schools have the same classroom equipment as us - do you all have smartboards? We would like to know some of your names and learn some of your languages. It's exciting to think that some of us will get to talk to children in schools in other countries, using the computer.
We enjoy going in the computer room at school as we can sometimes play games. We wonder if all children in partner schools have the same lessons as us.
In year 2 we are lucky as we have clubs after school. We started these last week on a Wednesday. We can choose from art, singing, computers and games, gardening or drama.
This week at our school Year 3 and 4 went to Colchester castle as they are learning about Romans. In the castle there is a museum about the Romans because Colchester castle was built where a Roman temple used to be. On Thursday we are having a maths morning where we will go to other teacher's classrooms to try out different maths activities and problem solving.

Below are some photos of our classes solving a maths problem:-
