International Visits to school, UK

We are Class AF of Springfield Primary School and we are aged 10-11. We live in England and are very lucky to be able to speak in our own language. We’re all good friends and have fun at our school with Mrs Faulds and Mrs Churchett. We have a big playground at our school, and there’s an infants and a juniors. Years R,1 and 2 are the infants and year 3-6 is Juniors. We have a separate playground from the infants and our school used to be separated. We now have the infants and juniors joined by a hallway. Next year we’ll be off to high school, and it’s exciting going to see all the different choices. A lot of us are going to Boswells, the nearest good secondary school.

Our school starts at 8:50, when we have our register
Then we have maths from 9-10 am
Next we have assembly, followed by a 15 minute break ending at 10:30.
Next we have English for a whole hour and a half.
At twelve we do science, reading or just finishing off work until 20 past, which is lunch.
From 1:10pm to 2pm we have a lesson such as PE, history, Science, Music or Geography and many more, and until the end of school we’ll do another lesson. We leave at 3:10pm.

A short while ago, we had a Chinese couple come to visit us, that taught us how to make amazing paper butterflies. In the next fortnight the artwork we made is going on show in the county library, every single one on a mobile. It’s going to look great, with our yellow paper butterflies hanging. We can’t wait! They also left us with a group of Chinese children from the ages of 7-11, with sections of information about all of them. We’ve had fun giving them emails and finding out more!

We are from class AF from SPRINGFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL. On the 25/9/08 we had Chinese people in. It was great fun! Everybody got a present for answering a question right! They were impressed by my Chinese speaking. At the end we did some eye exercises- we didn’t have any music so the man started to sing. There were lot of eye exercises. We watched a slide show of all the mountains of China.

P.s. We loved the Pets day work!

Finally, a message from Angelo, a Spanish speaker in the class, to his new Spanish friends:
