News from UK -Springfield

We had to make a celtic roundhouse

Can you see the miniature Roman villa?

We looked for evidence of what Romans ate.

Poor slaves!

Hello from Class SP in Springfield. We are Year 3 and we are 7 and 8 years old. There are 28 children in our class.

We have just moved up from the infants into the juniors and some things are very different. In the infants we had a playtime in the afternoon but in the juniors we have to do lots more work. In the juniors the playground is much bigger and there are more exciting things to play on, like a new climbing wall.
This term we have been learning about the Romans and we went on a visit to Colchester Castle. We had to travel in a yellow coach for about half an hour. It was really exciting and we got to see lots of great things. Some of our favourite things were :-

Going to the shop,
Making Roman villas and celtic round houses.
Going down into the vaults to learn about the Roman Temple.
Watching a video.
Dressing up as a slave.
