'We Europeans Have a Bagful of Culture to Share'

News from Class IV B - Gh. Titeica - Romania

January 24th 2009 is the day the Romanians celebrated the 150th anniversary since the Union of Moldavia with Wallachia (also known as The Little Union), thus forming Romania.

Class 4B celebrated this historical event by paying a visit to the History Museum in Constantza.



We found out past time evidence: documents, folk costumes, pottery, books, all sorts of flags.






We learned about the contribution of different personalities to the making of this historical event and its echoes in Europe at that time. In the pictures below you can see Alexandru Ioan Cuza, the first voivode (prince) who ruled the united countries (Moldavia and Wallachia).
