Ingredients :-
450g of minced beef
1 large onion
2 carrots
½ pint (300ml) beef stock
salt
1 ½ lb (700g) potatoes
25g butter
3 tablespoons of milk
100g Cheese to grate over the top
Oil for frying
Other things you will need:-
sharp knives
Chopping board
Frying pan
Saucepan
Potato peeler
1. Peel and chop the onions.
2. Fry the onions in a small amount of cooking oil.
3. Add the mince and fry it until it is cooked.
4. Chop carrots into small pieces
5. Add the carrots to the mince with a small amount of flour which will thicken the sauce.
6. Pour in stock and cook for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7. Turn the mince into a dish and leave to cool.
8. Wash and peel the potatoes
9. Boil the potatoes in slightly salted water for 20 minutes or until they are soft.
10. Mash the potatoes with butter and milk.
11. Cover the mince with the mashed potato.
12. Top with grated cheese.
13. Cook in the oven at 190 centigrade for 20 minutes.
14. Enjoy!
