Here is Aapo Virtanen (third class) last summer in Estonia, Saarenmaa.
Aapo found this big, 500 years old tree near one beautiful church. The churc was at least 700 years old.
An old lady, who was selling handcrafts near the tree told that you can get good energy if you hug the tree.

The Summer Holidays
One the night my mother woke me up, because we were going to start our holiday trip to Greece. We went to our car and so started our trip. Then we arrived to the Helsinki- Vantaa airport. At last we could go to the airplane. The fling time was about four hours.
Then we arrived to Zakythos island. It was very hot there. Our hotel`s name was Tsilivi Abrimaal. When we arrived to the hotel, we went to swim to the see and to the pool. It was fun.
In the evening we went to one restaurant to eat. There was a large playing area and we could take ice-cream called Paavo Pesusieni. There was chocolate ice cream, whipped cream and milk.
Then we went also to the boat trip round the island. We could see dolphins. Then it was time to go back home.

The Summer Holiday
Last summer we visited Kuusamo. We went there by our old car Passat. It was very hot, while there is not any air condition in our car. During the trip we stopped to one petrol station ABC to eat and refuel our car.
At last we arrived to Kajaani. We spent the night in a hotel. The name of the hotel was Scandic Kajanus. There we eat dinner and went to sleep.
I waked up in the morning. Then I dressed myself and then we went to eat the breakfast. Then we continue our trip. We were almost at our goal. But there was one big waterfall to see. The name of it is Hepoköngäs. After we have seen the waterfall our trip continues.
At last were up at army`s summer cottage area. There was a lot things to do at the play ground: A large trampoline, the swings and the jungle gym. There we also a lot of little cottages and also a bigger house. In the morning we visited there.
In the evening we visited the sauna. I slept the whole night well. Next day we made a long walking which is called Karhunkierros. It was fun also. The whole week went very well. We visited also one center, where is collected a lot of wild Finnish animals.
Then we started to drive back home. During the trip we stayed one night in Kuopio city in a Scandic hotel. We slept one night there and in the morning we continue our driving to home.

”I am not at all sleepy!” thought Kai (5 th grade). He spent a holiday in Kuresaari on Saarenmaa. It`s in Estonia.

Last summer Mirella (6 th grade) was on a riding camp. There she took care of picture´s horse for whole week. Horse´s name is Lipsi and it´s really kind. Mirella and Lipsi also took part to a show jumping contest and came in third place.
